Ingredients

1 kg chicken joints (broiler)

1 teaspoon salt

2–3 cloves of garlic

1 teaspoon turmeric

1 tablespoon tomato paste

1 large tomato

A pinch of chilli powder or small fresh chilli

2 large onions, sliced

1 tablespoon ghee or other fat

1 teaspoon flour
Methods

Coat the jointed chicken with flour.

Fry the onion and garlic, then add tomato paste and fresh tomato.

Add the jointed chicken and fry for another 2–7 minutes until the chicken changes colour, stirring occasionally.

Add coconut milk and simmer for another 30 minutes.

Serve hot with a vegetable dish.
