Ingredients

8 oz beef

1 pt cold water

Salt to taste
Methods

Clean and wash the meat.

Cut into shreds and add salt and water.

Cover and allow to stand for half an hour.

Place the meat and water in a covered saucepan.

Cook slowly, then stir well and drain the beef tea.

Serve hot.

NOTE: If any fat floats to the top, it should be skimmed off.
