Ingredients

1 cup pounded maize or rice

½ cup fine maize flour

½ cup sour milk or cream

1 pinch salt
Methods

Soak the maize overnight.

Cook in plenty of water until soft. Add salt.

Mix the flour with water to a soft paste.

Add the maize and stir well all the time until it thickens.

Continue boiling until the flour is cooked, about 10 minutes.

Remove from heat and stir in the milk.

Serve cold.

NOTE: Instead of sour milk, fresh milk and lemon juice can be used.
