Ingredients

1 lb (½ kg) potatoes

½ oz butter or margarine

1 teaspoon salt

A little hot milk
Methods

Wash, peel and cook potatoes in salted water.

When soft, drain the water immediately.

Add butter and mash thoroughly.

Add enough hot milk, a little at a time, to make a smooth mixture.

Continue to mash the potatoes until they are white and fluffy.

Serve hot.
