Ingredients

1 teacup flour (sorghum, millet, maize, etc.)

6 teacups of water

1 teacup of milk

Juice from 1 lemon or orange

Sugar as desired
Methods

Boil the water.

Make a smooth paste by mixing flour with cold water.

Add the mixture to the boiling water, stirring all the time to prevent lumps.

Continue boiling and leave for 5–10 minutes to cook the starch.

If very thick, dilute by adding water and stir well.

Add milk and stir.

Boil for 1–2 minutes. Add fruit juice, stir and remove from heat.

Serve hot in a bowl or mug.
