Ingredients

½ kg boiled fish

3 large potatoes (boiled and mashed)

Pepper

Salt

1 dessertspoon butter

1 egg (beaten)

Breadcrumbs

1 teaspoon milk
Methods

Remove skin and bones from the fish and flake it.

Add the mashed potatoes and butter. Season with pepper and salt.

Stir in half the beaten egg and mix well until firm. Add the milk.

Mix well and shape into 4 rolls. Brush over with beaten egg and roll in breadcrumbs.

Place on a greased baking tray and bake in a moderate oven for 20–30 minutes.

Serve with tomatoes and chilli sauce.

NOTE: If preferred, the rolls may be fried in deep fat.
