Ingredients

250g dehulled maize

4 soft green bananas

1 litre sour milk

125g beans (optional)

20g butter or ghee (optional)

Water

1 stalk of parsley
Methods

Wash and boil the maize until almost tender.

Wash the beans and add them to the cooking maize. Continue boiling.

Peel and thinly slice the bananas. Wash them well.

Add the bananas to the beans and maize mixture and continue cooking until soft enough to mash.

Add butter and leave for some minutes.

Remove from heat and mash well. Leave to cool. Add milk to make the required consistency.

Serve on a plate and garnish with parsley.
