Ingredients

  • ¼ kg minced meat

  • 3 medium-sized potatoes

  • 8 small onions, finely chopped

  • 2 green chillies, finely chopped

  • 2 eggs

  • Salt to taste

  • Breadcrumbs

  • Oil for frying

Methods

  • Place minced meat in a bowl and add the mashed potatoes, chopped onions and chillies.

  • Mix well and add salt.

  • Add 1 egg, slightly beaten, and mix well.

  • Divide the mixture into eight equal portions and shape them into oval cutlets.

  • Heat the oil. Dip each cutlet in the remaining beaten egg and coat well in breadcrumbs.

  • Fry to a golden brown colour.

  • Drain well and serve hot.

  • Serve with rice or as a main dish with vegetables as desired.
