Ingredients

2 pt milk

1 lb sugar

½ teaspoon vanilla

2 oz chopped cashew nuts

1 oz butter
Methods

Place all ingredients into a saucepan and stir until the sugar is dissolved.

Lower the heat and stir continuously until the mixture thickens.

Put a few drops in a cup of cold water. If the toffee forms soft balls, remove from heat and beat well for two minutes.

Pour into a flat dish rinsed with cold water.

When the toffee is fully set, cut it into squares.

Store in a clean, dry, airtight container.
