Ingredients

1 cup millet flour

½ cup cream or sour milk

½ pt water

A little lemon juice

1 oz butter
Methods

Put the water on the heat and stir in the flour.

Cook gently, stirring all the time until it thickens.

Continue to boil until the porridge turns dark brown.

Add the butter.

Remove from heat and whisk in the milk and lemon juice.

Serve cold.

NOTE: This is especially given to nursing mothers and convalescents.
