  • Add the liquid a little at a time and stir until the mixture is like a thick batter.

  • Continue stirring for a few minutes until the batter produces air bubbles.

  • Leave covered overnight.

  • The following morning, the batter will have risen and become thicker.

  • Heat the oil in a deep pan until fairly hot but not smoking.

  • Add the mixture in tablespoonfuls.

  • Fry until golden brown.
