Ingredients

1 medium sliced fish

1 piece of ginger (pounded)

1 stalk spring onion

1 carrot, shredded into strips

1 dessertspoon thin soya sauce

1 teaspoon corn flour
-
1 tablespoon water

Pepper and salt

4 mushrooms, soaked in water
Methods

Clean and wash the fish. Make two slanting slits on either side of the fish.

Cut spring onions to ½ their length.

Mix corn flour with water and soya sauce.

Place fish on a plate smeared with ¼ teaspoon salt and a little pepper.

Sprinkle pounded ginger, carrot and spring onion over it.

Pour the corn flour blended with soya sauce and water over the fish. Steam for 10–15 minutes.

Transfer to a warmed dish and garnish with sliced tomato, cucumber and chilli.

Serve hot.
